Senior Civil /Structural Engineer (1 position)

Job Type : Permanent

Job Location : Rayong Office

Responsibilities:

 

  • Able to be CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) leader for small to medium onshore civil/structural FEED/EPC project. Responsible for specifications, planning, scheduling, technical execution, budget and quantity control, material requisitions, manpower planning and progress reporting.
  • Performs a variety of structural engineering work for onshore oil and gas projects, including conceptual studies, FEED, estimates, and Detailed Engineering including Construction Drawings, Structural Analysis & Reports, with due consideration for applicable codes & standards maintain the required technical quality of work.
  • Preparing specification & structural design criteria applicable for onshore loading conditions including empty, operating, test, dynamic, fatigue, wind, seismic, blast, lifting, transportation & etc.
  • Responsible for designing complex deliverables such as onshore process structures, pipe racks, modules, foundations, underground concrete tanks, retaining wall, warehouse, factory, paving, etc.
  • Participate in Hazop and safety review meetings, Constructability Review & Attend project review & 3D model review meetings as required Interface with all disciplines to develop a clash free design.
  • Review of MTO and Material Requisitions including vendor documentation review & Technical Bid Evaluation.
  • Technical reviews of engineering consultant output where the work is subcontracted, Reviews the Client technical documentation and all relevant legislation, standards and codes requirement.
  • Mentor young engineers by participate in providing training courses to developing engineers, Guide subordinate to prepare preliminary & Detailed MTO for Bidding, FEED, and Detailed Engineering Phases of the project with the available minimum documents
  • Able to go for onshore site survey as required.
  • Check drawing & documents of other discipline vendor packages which related to Civil/Structural drawings.
  • Communicating change orders and executing change management processes
  • Provides technical support to project group

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Master’s Degree in Structural/ Structural Offshore Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in onshore structural analyses & designs within the Oil and Gas industry, Engineering Company, EPCI contractor.
  • Experience in onshore modification works.
  • Experience with structural 3D model review software e.g. Navisworks Freedom & TEKLA.
  • On-shore design experience in Concrete Foundation, Pavement, R.C. Building, Infrastructure & Anchor Bolts Design based on ACI318, AISC code & Thailand Building Control Act.
  • Experience with installation engineering designs e.g. rigging design, Spreader bar calculations, Lifting Lugs or trunnion Calculation & etc is advantage.
  • Experience in cost estimation/quantity survey is preferred.
  • Experience in preparation of construction permit with IEAT is a plus.
  • Thai Nationality
  • Registered as a Civil Professional Engineer (PE) under Engineering Institution of Thailand with Professional Engineer License.
  • Computer literacy of structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, Midas, RAM, ETABS & SAP 2000. Able to perform finite element analysis with ANSYS would be an advantage.
  • Proficient with preparing template and calculations sheet by using MATHCAD or Excel. Knowledge of Excel VB would be considered an advantage.
  • Fully Familiar with related international design codes, standards & recommended practices such as API, DNV, ISO, BS, ASTM and other international codes/guidelines including latest Thailand Building Control Act.
  • In-depth technical knowledge about onshore structural analysis & design (including material specifications) for both reinforcement concrete and steel structures with resolution of technical issues during projects planning and execution phases.
  • Strong management, communication skill and interpersonal skills to interface with multiple engineering disciplines, clients and project team. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Process Engineer (1 position)

Job Type : Permanent

Job Location : Rayong Office

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate with clients (in business/plants/factories of onshore petrochemical, chemical, oil&gas, refinery, tank farm, utilities etc.) in Rayong, Chonburi or nearby area for technical clarification, proposal preparation in part of process engineering and safety engineering for bidding purpose. The office shall be mainly based in TNS, Rayong office. However, if required there may be some assignments to work in TNS Bangna office or others as required.
  • Support Senior Engineers to Co-ordinate with clients and other relevant engineering disciplines for technical supporting activities, proposal/report preparation during both bidding and execution phase.
  • Support Lead/Senior Engineers to conduct detailed engineering design and/or conceptual & basic engineering design. The process engineering work/activities shall be mainly for onshore business as mentioned above. However, if required there may be some assignments on offshore business/project activities.
  • Prepare and submit Process engineering deliverables e.g. PFD/UFD/P&ID/H&MB, Process Simulation/Calculation, Process Datasheet etc, review and incorporate comments from client until approval status including to raise and/or respond technical queries as required.
  • Plan and co-ordinate with Lead/Senior engineers to achieve project requirements and schedule and to strictly follow project quality management system.
  • Support Manager and/or other engineers as assigned by Manager in assigned tasks related to project activities and/or other process engineering activities as required.
  • Support Project Engineering Manager and/or TNS Rayong office Manager in assigned tasks related to Project activities for both bidding and execution phase. However, the initial report of this position is to Process Engineering Manager in TNS Bangna office.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Thai Nationality
  • 3 – 7 years of experience in process engineering design in petrochemical and/or oil & gas field, Engineering company, EPCI contractor.
  • Experience in onshore modification works.

 

  • Experience in process engineering calculation and design in petrochemical and/or oil & gas field
  • Experience in conducting process simulation software e.g. HYSYS, FlareNet, FlareSim
  • Familiar with related international codes & standards
  • Familiar with MS Office software e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point
  • Good command of English
  • Hiring position is Permanent employee at TNS Rayong Office. Hence, candidates in Rayong or nearby area is advantageous. Good communication skills in English writing and speaking.

Piping Engineer (1 position)

Job Type : Permanent

Job Location : Rayong Office

Responsibilities:

 

  • Reviews the Client technical documentation and all relevant legislation, standards and codes requirements.
  • Provision of the engineering man hours estimation and monitoring for the piping stress activities.
  • Defines the Piping stress list of deliverables, time schedule and controls Piping stress activities in accordance with project requirements.
  • Issues project Pipe stress analysis design criteria, Pipe stress critical line list and other deliverables during the basic design phase, and perform preliminary stress analysis of the Piping systems.
  • Takes the Package Engineer role for piping stress items and/or services (such as spring supports, expansion joints, vibrations studies, etc.)
  • Prepare preliminary & Detailed MTO for Bidding, FEED, and Detailed Engineering Phases of the project with the available minimum documents.
  • Prepare Special Items list, Special Items Datasheets, and quantify the MTO and check after completion.
  • Prepare Valve List, SP Item list, Valve Datasheets, and quantify the MTO & RFQ.
  • Prepare and check Quantified Bulk Piping Material MTO from documents for preliminary stage / get input from PDMS during detailed design stage of project.
  • Prepare & Check TBE of Special Items, Valves, and Bulk Piping Materials.
  • Check IDC of drawing & documents of other discipline vendor packages.
  • Responsible to maintain register for SP Items List and Valves with latest revision of vendor drawings available.
  • Coordinating with other engineering and design discipline team members including Site Survey.
  • Communicating change orders and executing change management processes
  • Provides technical support to project group.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ year’s progressive experience in piping stress analysis within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience with detailed design project (EPC) execution.

 

  • Experience using a pipe stress analysis program like Caesar II software is must.
  • Detailed knowledge of piping and pipe supports, both design and calculation.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas industry codes and standards, including but not limited to ASME, and API.
  • Able to work in Rayong area. ( Office at Map Ta Phut )
  • Good knowledge of selection and specification of Materials is also essential.

Mechanical Engineer (1 position)

Job Type : Permanent

Job Location : Rayong Office

Responsibilities:

 

  • Executing the assigned activities in accordance with all technical, quality, contractual and execution aspects of the project as per the instructions of the Discipline Lead Engineer of the Project
  • Keeping the Discipline Lead Engineer informed on the status of activities assigned
  • Ensuring adequate flow of design information to the other members of the Design Team
  • Submitting all the documents prepared to the Lead Engineer for review / approval.
  • Commenting Vendor documents as per Project requirements
  • Keeping all the documents filed according to the filing procedure
  • Choosing the best solution from technical / economical point of view
  • Issue the quality forms according to QA systems of the project and company
  • Implementing corrective actions according to the QA systems of the project and company
  • Attend project, technical meetings with client, PMT and vendors as and when required.
  • Ensuring that the Engineering Design Deliverables are delivered as scheduled and within the budget man-hours

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Shall have 6 – 8 years of experience in handling static equipment. Oil and gas background will be added advantage.
  • Past Experience should include:
  • Extensive hands-on experience in design and engineering of static equipment viz. pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers etc.
  • Shall be capable of independently producing design calculations and specifications, carrying out drawing reviews, preparing MTO for estimation as well as fabrication purposes.
  • Must be familiar with design codes ASME Sec VII Div.1, Div.2, PD 5500, API 620/650, TEMA and proficient with PV Elite, Code Cale., Compress, Tank, Fin glow etc.
  • Shall be also capable of carrying out fatigue analysis using stress analysis I FEA methods and be familiar with FEM software packages.
  • Good knowledge of selection and specification of Materials is also essential.

Senior Project Engineer (1 position)

Job Type : Permanent

Job Location : Bangna Office

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Conceptual Studies FEED, Detailed Engineering Design as a Process Lead in any particular project / work assigned by Manager.
  • Perform as focal point of Process Engineer in activities required during bidding stage.
  • Prepare and provide the engineering documents / deliverables required for projects.
  • Conduct Conceptual studies, FEED, Detailed engineering design as a Process Lead in any particular project/work as assigned by Manager.
  • Perform as a focal point of Process Engineering in any activities (including design review/verification, preparation of documents e.g. clarification, qualification, RFQ for any 3rd party study, man-hour estimation etc) required during bidding stage of Conceptual studies, FEED, Detailed engineering design in any particular bidding project/work as assigned by Manager.
  • For whom assigned as a Process Lead in any particular project/work, to advise Designers, Senior Designers, Process Engineers and Senior Engineers (only persons on the same project) on the issues related to project/work and to advise work planning with target schedule date. In addition, to achieve the objectives and schedule of the project/work, Process Lead is to co-operate and support activities in each particular project by attending project meeting with other disciplines / clients / vendors (if any), providing suggestions on the project to optimize the work, providing solutions in any de-bottlenecking situation etc.
  • Conduct Conceptual studies, FEED, Detailed engineering design as assigned by Senior Engineer who has been assigned as a Process Lead in particular project/work.
  • Prepare and provide the engineering documents/deliverables of the project/work as assigned by a concerned Process Lead and/or Manager.
  • Senior Engineer who have been assigned in the project / work (but not as a process lead) shall support / assist a Process Lead in activities of that particular project / work. The activities shall be to drive the project progress in overall, advise designers / engineers, review the discipline interrelated document, prepare final documentation, co-ordinate/attend project meeting with other disciplines/clients/vendors (if any), plan & manage the review and issuance of deliverables and report the Process Lead during the project / work life cycle. The Process Lead then reports the project status, progress and outstanding issues to manager in a verbal and/or written report. The Senior Engineer shall be acting and responsible for activities on behalf of the Process Lead when the Process Lead is not available.
  • Support Manager and / or other Senior Engineer in other assigned tasks related to Process Engineering as required.
  • Conduct the training / knowledge exchange session with other Senior Process Engineers as assigned the Manager where other engineers may also attend.
  • Conduct the training session to other engineers as assigned by Manager.
  • For whom assigned by Manager, to support the planning & management of process engineering / drawing software and also co-ordinate with concerned disciplines / vendors for the purchasing, training, seminar and meeting in software related issues.

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical Engineering
  • More than 7 years experience in process engineering design in petrochemical or oil & gas field
  • Experience in Process Lead’s role in conceptual, FEED, detailed engineering is advantageous.
  • Able to communicate and interface with other disciplines
